Lífæðar málverksins. Veins of paint.

Lífæðar málverksins.

Einn þekktasti myndlistarrýnir á sínum tíma var Bragi Ásgeirsson, hann talaði einhvertíman um lífæðar málverksins, hann vissi vel hvað hann var að tala um, hafandi unnið sem listmálari alla æfi, þessi kimi málara listarinnar; málverkið sjálft, byggist á beinu sambandi tilfinningana við höndina, sem stýrir penslinum og auganu sem er vakandi yfir útkomuni, heilin er þarna einhverstaðar á vaktinni og ef listamaðurinn er heppin er innsæið eða guðdómurin; eður hvað maður vill kalla það, þá er þetta allt saman samtengt og þannig rennur allt saman, í lífæðum málverksins. Góðar stundir og speglum okkur listinni í þessum furðum skynfæranna.

Veins of paint.

One of most famous writer on art in Iceland Bragi Ásgeirsson, once wrote about somting he called “veins of the art of painting”, he knew what he was talking about, working as a painter all his of life, the painting itself is based on the direct coalition of feelings and the hand that controls the brush and the eye that is alert about the outcome, the brain is there somewhere on duty and if the artist is lucky is intuitive or the goddess, whatever you want to call it, it’s all interconnected and thus everything goes into the life of the painting. Good times and see you in the arts.
